Konacha means "flour tea“ in Japanese. Konacha is made from broken tea leaves and small dust-like leaf particles that are left after the tea processing. It is way cheaper than loose leaf teas and needs only about 5 seconds to brew because of it’s structure. However it still has taste and flavor of the original processed tea leaves. Most of the Konacha is left after Sencha and Gyokuro production, giving it superior quality.
